Manly to host new Australian vodka launch

Villa Vodka is a new all-Australian spirit and this weekend will see five venues across Manly play host to its launch, with $1 from every Villa cocktail sold on March 4 being donated to SurfAid.

The Hold, InSitu, Donny’s, Shore Beach Club and Hugo’s will be offering a range custom cocktails, food specials and activations to bring the vodka to life and to help the local community join in the launch celebrations.

Villa was founded by two volunteer lifesavers and is a triple-distilled spirit using soft mountain water of the Great Dividing Range and is filtered through fallen coconuts from Queensland’s Port Douglas.

Co-Founder Alistair Shields, said: “I’ve worked with two of Australia’s largest alcohol distributors and know we can offer more. March 4 will be our chance to prove this with purpose and create the joy of an everyday holiday, while celebrating our mates, supporting local hospo and giving back.

“And with 19 years spent volunteering, it was important to me that VILLA Vodka helps make a meaningful difference with the work we do, and why every bottle sold donates $0.50 to charity and we partnered with SurfAid for this event.”

“SurfAid has a strong connection to the Northern Beaches of Sydney, so we couldn’t be more stoked to be the charity partner of VILLA Vodka for its launch event. The funds raised will help us support remote families to get ahead by delivering access to healthcare, clean water and improved nutrition,” says Doug Lees, SurfAid CEO.
