Grain Bar to bring back Dom Pérignon pop-up for Vivid Sydney

Grain Bar will glow bright green for Vivid Sydney once again, with Sydney’s only Dom Pérignon Luminous Champagne pop-up bar returning to The Rocks for a second year.

The popular George Street bar, located within the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, will be illuminated with light projections and green luminescent Dom Pérignon Luminous Champagne bottles from 6pm until late each night.

During the pop-up, Grain Bar will serve Dom Pérignon by the glass, and Dom Pérignon Luminous bottles paired with a complimentary dozen freshly-shucked oysters for $375.

Grain’s bartenders will also be serving up a special signature cocktail inspired by the radiant colours of Vivid Sydney. The violet-glowing ‘Viva Violetta’ cocktail will be made with purple-coloured Ink Gin from NSW’s Northern Rivers, which gets its unique shade from an infusion of butterfly pea flower petals.

Made to match with the world-famous Champagne will be a bespoke menu of gourmet treats, including lobster corn dogs with citrus aioli and duck fat fries, Sydney Rock oysters with smoked soy bonito mignonette, and a trio of crispy truffle Gruyere ‘pleasure domes’.

Grain will also continue to serve up its regular list of local wine, creative cocktails, boutique beer, craft spirits and excellent bar food – for which it was named Hotel Bar of the Year in the 2016 Australian Bar Awards – for the duration of the pop-up.

Ideally located for visitors to Vivid Sydney – with one of the main attractions, the Light Walk through The Rocks and Circular Quay, only seconds away – Grain will hope to capitalise on what has become Sydney’s preeminent winter festival.

The Dom Pérignon Luminous Champagne pop-up bar will run throughout Vivid, from 26 May through to the end of June.
