Last tickets released for NTIA Lunch & Learn

The Night-Time Industries Association has released the final tickets for its free interactive training session on the art of conflict de-escalation and risk mitigation in venues.

Delivered by Scott Taylor CPP from Praesidium Risk and Resilience – one of Australia’s leading specialists in security management – this event will give frontline workers a deeper understanding of pre-incident indicators and behavioural tells that can point to an issue emerging.

The session will explain the verbal techniques that can stop an incident from escalating as well as how to interpret the non-verbal traits displayed by potentially hostile people and the indicators that they may resort to violence.

The training is delivered through interactive activities that teach workers in the night time industries how to de-escalate situations. There’s also virtual reality headsets to practise the skills in a variety of settings.

This session is designed for all workers in the night time economy. The training will take place on Tuesday, 7 May at Mary’s Underground in Sydney – head to the NTIA website to secure your tickets.
