Hickson House Gin to go national with new partnership

Hickson House Distilling Co has signed a distribution partnership with Amber Beverage Group, which will take the Hickson House Gin range across the country.

The partnership is effective from 1 July 2024 and marks the next exciting chapter for both companies, and Hickson House in particular, as the team look to take their brand beyond Sydney.

Hickson House Gin was founded in 2022 by Barrelhouse Group owners Mikey Enright and Julian Train and the brand has gained popularity in Sydney after the opening of Hickson House Distillery and Bar in The Rocks.

Barrelhouse’s other ventures including The Barber Shop, The Duke of Clarence and the Barrelhouse Cellars bottle shop, have all help further the growth of the gin, and Mikey says the team and the brand is ready for this next phase of growth with Amber Beverages.

“We can’t wait to collaborate with the Amber Beverage team and look forward to growing our brand and partnership across Australia over the coming years,” he said.

“Strengthening our presence throughout Australia is one of our key focus areas for the years ahead, and we believe Amber Beverage are the ones to help us do so.”

Despite the prevailing market conditions, Hickson House Gin and Amber Beverage are optimistic about the future of the gin category. By focusing on quality, innovation, and consumer engagement, the partnership will deliver unparalleled experiences to gin enthusiasts across Australia.

Patrick Borg, CEO of Amber Beverage Group said: “The Hickson House Gin story is a great one, and one that I have watched with interest since the brand was launched in 2022.

“Having known Mikey and Julian for many years, I am excited to work together on growing Hickson House Gin in Australia. I speak for the entire Amber Beverage team when I say we are all very excited to welcome this great brand to our portfolio.”

Hickson House Gin has quickly gained recognition for its craftsmanship and dedication to creating distinctively flavourful gins from Australian sourced botanicals, and as consumers increasingly look to local products, this national opportunity is an exciting one for the brand.
