Maybe Sammy and Regal Rogue team up for Dante pop-up

The owners of Maybe Sammy and Maybe Frank are off to New York later in April for an exciting pop-up at the world-renowned aperitivo bar Dante.

Given its well-known and acclaimed aperitivo focus, it makes sense for Dante to host an event of this nature – called ‘Vermouth For Days’ – and likewise that the vermouth-loving team from Maybe Frank/Sammy would also be itching to get involved.

Kicking off this week (8 April), four bars from around the world will be taking over Dante in sequence, serving up their own selection of vermouth cocktails – some from their home bars and some created specifically for the event. Taking part are Odori (Athens), La Sirenuse (Miami), Kwant (London) and Maybe Sammy.

Making the trip from Australia are Maybe Sammy co-owners Andrea Gualdi, Stefano Catino and Vince Lombardo, with Gualdi taking charge on the cocktail front throughout the pop-up.

Gualdi will be serving up eight cocktails made using Regal Rogue, the popular Australian vermouth, during his five-day stint.

“We’re so excited to bring some of the best bars in the world to Dante for this really unique series of Pop Ups”, says Dante’s Creative Director, Naren Young.

“Not only are we obsessed by the vermouth category at Dante and growing its popularity within New York, but these venues also represent a new wave that are also shining a light on vermouth in their own cities.

“It will be amazing to see the various bartending styles and creativity that each of them brings to the Big Apple.”

The team from Maybe Sammy will have residency at Dante, located in Greenwich Village, from 2-7pm – Monday to Friday – during their five-day pop-up.
