Archie Rose teams up with The Scotch Malt Whisky Society

Archie Rose Distilling Co. is partnering with the Scotch Malt Whisky Society (SMWS) for a three-day pop up bar at its Rosebery distillery.

Running from 3-5 May, ARDC x SMWS will allow consumers to access a wide selection of new releases and rare archives – from 9 year olds to 39 year olds – across the Society’s 35-year history.

Each day will consist of a special archive cask opening, in addition to the launch of a single cask cocktail created by Archie Rose showcasing one of the SMWS twelve flavour profiles. Each cocktail will be announced daily via both brands’ social platforms and limited to 10 serves per day.

The three-day activation will close on Saturday 5 May with a one-off whisky blending class hosted by Dave Withers, Archie Rose master distiller and Matt Bailey, SMWS national ambassador. Guests will be invited to create their own signature blended whisky from a carefully curated selection of society bottlings.

“As a partner of the SMWS, we enjoy being a home away from home for Society member and whisky lovers, offering a unique and extensive range of exclusive single cask whiskies,” says Archie Rose founder Will Edwards.

“This collaboration is a fantastic opportunity for whisky lovers to taste the rare and unique whiskies featured by the society.”

Matt Bailey adds: “Alongside our mantra of the best whiskies, we also maintain the same level of obsessive detail in our experiences: from whisky paired dinners, masterclasses, tastings and tours, and this exclusive pop up bar will be a great example of this.”
