Getting the band back together at Eau de Vie Sydney

This Sunday 29 April, Eau de Vie Sydney is getting its original bartending band back together for one night only.

With the help of Angostura, three of EDV’s most famous alumni – former head bartender and now Vasco Bar owner, Max Greco; the man behind the now-closed Darlinghurst bar Hello Sailor, Luke Redington, and the father of the Yuzu Mule and Australian winner of Angostura’s 2017 Cocktail Challenge, Dan Gregory – will reunite for a nostalgic guest shift, mixing up a selection of EDV classics from its current menu along with some of its famous drinks from the early years.

“We were one of the first small bars in Sydney back in 2010 and have built a strong reputation for both high calibre bartenders and exceptional drinks,” says Eau de Vie owner Sven Almenning.

“Max, Luke and Dan were three of the originals; they are very much a part of our success today and they set the bar high for all to follow. It’s great to have them back together for this reunion.”

The night will also mark the beginning of Dan Gregory’s year-long appointment as the Australian Angostura Brand Ambassador.

“It was an honour to serve with Max and Luke in the early years,” comments Gregory. “We’ve all gone on our separate ways and so getting the band back together for this special night is just awesome. This will be my first gig as Angostura Brand Ambassador and I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the year.”
