The Australian Distillers Association’s annual conference is returning to Melbourne from 26 to 28 March, and will see over 400 distillers gather to gain the practical skills and tools needed to be a ‘Safe. Smart. Sustainable.’ Australian manufacturing industry.

The conference will kick-off at 2pm on Sunday 26 March with a Trade Show and Masterclasses at the Timber Yard in Port Melbourne. More than 30 industry service providers and guest speakers have partnered with Australian Distillers to share their industry know-how with members looking to refine their craft and take their businesses to the next level.

Australian Distillers Chief Executive, Paul McLeay, says it’s important for members to come together to network, and benefit from practical tools and presentations to develop the skills needed to ensure their ongoing success.

“Australian Distillers are ready to embrace opportunities to grow in a safe, smart, and sustainable way,” McLeay said.

“That’s why we have assembled a fantastic line-up of speakers from Australia and around the world, who will share insights, tools and programs to build on our strong foundations to inspire a new era of Australian distilling.”

McLeay added that the Conference will introduce important safety and training initiatives which will help this fast-growing industry be better prepared to exploit new opportunities for product development and market expansion.

“If you’re yet to buy your tickets, I would suggest registering online today to avoid disappointment. You won’t want to miss it,” he said.

The 2023 Conference promises to be the most well-attended in the association’s history, with over 400 tickets already sold and the event approaching capacity.

Australian Distillers’ renowned conference networking events also return in 2023.

On Sunday night, distillers will gather under the stars at the Timber Yard to share their latest and greatest products at the Conference Welcome Drinks. Then on Monday, there will be glitz, glamour and kilts aplenty, as distillers gather for their night-of-nights, the annual Gala Dinner, where the latest entrants into the industry’s coveted Hall of Fame will be announced.

Through the generous support of the Victorian Government, delegates will also visit more than 12 distilleries through a program of Regional Tours, offering opportunities for knowledge exchange with peers at successful distillery doors in regional and urban locations.
