Entries open for Bacardi Legacy 2019/2020

Entries are open for the 2019/2020 Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition, with a new competition format and new prizes set to excite Aussie bartenders who choose to enter.

Australian finalists have a strong record of reaching the top 16 on the global stage, with this year’s entrants no doubt hopeful of following in the footsteps of past Australian Bacardi Legacy title-holders Fred Siggins, Alissa Gabriel, Andrew Bennett, Dave Kerr, James Irvine and Jenna Hemsworth (pictured above).

The 2020 Global Finals will be held from 1-7 May in Miami, USA – a city with a long-standing association with BACARDÍ rum.

During this time the forty finalists will immerse themselves in a week of education and competition, rubbing shoulders with some of the true legends of the bartending world at some of the city’s finest venues and night spots before the 2020 Global Champion is announced at the Grand Final on 6 May.

This year’s Australian winner will not only win an all-expenses paid trip to Miami to compete in the Global Finals, but also a $5000 cash prize and the cover the March 2020 issue of Australian Bartender Magazine.

Now in its seventh year, Bacardi Legacy was established to challenge the best contemporary bartenders in the world to create their own cocktail Legacy – that will stand the test of time and ensure that both bartender and Bacardi are remembered like the illustrious classic cocktails of the past.

Entries opened on 20 June and close on 10 September – visit www.bacardilegacy.com to enter and for the full competition details.
