Supporting local arts with Lawrenny Distillery

Small bars, craft breweries and craft distillers have many things in common, one particularly strong trait among these groups is supporting local communities.

For Tasmania’s Lawrenny Distillery this is particularly true with co-founder Jensen Farley saying that because local arts and artists have played a big part in bringing people to Tasmania in recent years, when the opportunity came up to give that scene some support, he was keen to take it.

In that regard, Lawrenny has become an official sponsor of the Mona Foma Music and Arts Festival, which is taking place in Launceston in January.

“The success of various music and arts events have played a large part in the increasing popularity of Tasmania over recent years. Lawrenny has actively sought to support these events with a view that their continued increasing recognition is good for all local businesses.” comments Farley. “The partnership creates a uniquely Tasmanian experience for both local, and the expected large numbers of interstate visitors.”

“The Mona Foma festival is an experience, with the audience introduced to a number of lesser known but amazing artists. This is what the participation in the event offers us. It is a chance for the audience to discover Lawrenny and experience some local Tasmanian products that have been recognized on the world stage.”

As well as having a team out in force during the festival serving drinks and cocktails, Lawrenny is also giving people a chance to win flights, accommodation and three day festival passes for themselves and a friend.

Information on how to enter is available on the Lawrenny Distillery website.
