Recipe: Mary Mary’s Whisky Highball

A man garnishes a whisky highball

Proof Creative’s Senior Bar Consultant, Charlie Ainsbury, picked this cocktail as his favourite from the menu of Hobart’s Mary Mary.

Whisky Highball

Ingredients:


  • 50ml Tasmanian whisky (frozen)
  • 90ml Two Metre Tall Brewery sparkling mead
  • 2.5ml Fresh lemon juice
  • A spear of ice (a long ice block will work)
  • Garnish: herb of your choice (Mary Mary uses wattle leaf)

Directions:


  1. Add whisky and lemon juice to a chilled highball glass
  2. Add ice spear or long ice cube
  3. Top with sparkling mead
  4. Garnish and enjoy
