Nominations open to recognise industry leading women

To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8, 2021, CAPI is recognising Melbourne’s best and brightest women in the food, beverage and hospitality industry.

The Australian beverage company will launch a social media campaign that will profile women who are changing the face of the hospitality industry in Melbourne.

The nomination period will last two weeks and run from February 15 to 28, with the finalists announced and contacted on March 1, 2021. Each individual selected will be profiled by CAPI via their social channels and invited to take part in a special dinner to honour their work and connect with voices across the industry.

CAPI CEO Emma Evans said: “Everyone has a story and at CAPI we love to story tell. We are asking the hospitality industry to shine a light on the incredible women in the industry that maybe sometimes take a back seat. I know I did.”

“It was daunting in the industry to step out and wonder what people would think and if I had “the right experience. But I have learnt it doesn’t matter as I have my story and I can’t wait to dine with others and share stories for an evening. CAPI has strong female leaders in the business and has always embraced diversity and equality. Stories don’t have a gender.”

The finalists will take part in a celebratory dinner at CAPI HQ with a private dining experience by Free to Feed, a Melbourne-based not for profit social enterprise championing refugees, people seeking asylum and new migrants through food orientated initiatives and education.

The dinner will also include a discussion with CAPI CEO Emma Evans and the Free to Feed team.
